And then came Facebook! A wonderful way to communicate with friends and family and making this site pretty much redundant! As I do tend not to talk about our experiences with cancer on Facebook, I will update that aspect of our lives here. We are doing well…now and again, there are some hiccups but generally we feel and look well. We are blessed.

In 2008, Robert, Tamsin and Siena came to visit us and we had a wonderful time. They needed more time on the beach and I needed more of them! But it was lovely to see them.

In 2008 too, Robert and Nicky got married and, even though we could not travel to be with them, we were so happy with this event! They continue to visit us each year, for which we are so grateful and enjoy their company each time.

Tamsin, Robert and Siena cannot visit as often but we are constantly in touch, with photos, videos and webcam hook-ups!

We miss our family but are content to know they are doing well and as long as we hear from them regularly, we are happy!

2010

I notice I said I would update on our medical conditions here. I am presently still in remission for which I am so grateful. Mike was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February and is on hormone treatments. We had to go to Miami for some specialist treatment in August and we hope and pray that that, along with the injections, will keep the cancer at bay. We surely have had our fair share! What is important as we enter 2011 is that we both feel well and content. We will just take one day at a time.
